Surviving the Heat!
106 degrees Fahrenheit = 41.1111111 degrees Celsius
Unfortunately we have had 2 victims of heat. First, big fish didn't make it through the roughest heat. Either he just couldn't handle it or the heat made Stop and Go very hungry (we had a little cannibalism, I do believe).
We are mourning the loss of Big Fish--can you believe he lived 2 years!!
We are also mourning the loss of my cell phone--plums are the culprit and heat was the reason we were carrying the delectable snack along with. They don't mix with phone, however.
To deal with the heat in a happy way we are having blueberry smoothies in the park under the cypress trees
Watching cartoons downstairs in the air conditioned community lobby.
Sleeping in a quiet corner.
Passing out in front of the fan.

Come to the redwoods! It was overcast all day long today and we walked on the beach with me wearing my fleece hat and vest, with my winter parka over that. And my fingers still lost its circulation! Hope tomorrow is cooler for you.

We would LOVE to come to the redwoods again. It was beautiful last summer...but I'm afraid if we come we may bring the heat with us. As soon as Roma got to Texas, we had nothing but 100 degree heat! That was June-very unusual, now look it is 85 and beautiful there...

Bring on the heat wave! That would mean perfect swimming-in-the-river weather for us. Normally, here on the beach, it is about 60 degrees Oh well... :)
When our heat comes back could you ask Roman to come down here and take it back up there?? This 85 has been nice!!Daddy
